First step was taken for the cable car in Konya: Konya Metropolitan Municipality started the construction of 640 underground underground vehicles in Meram Son Durak which is one of the most important touristic regions. The ropeway station building with the car park will be the first step of the ropeway line.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality has started the parking and construction of Meram Son Durak, one of the resting areas of Konya.
Metropolitan Mayor Tahir Akyurek, who came from Konya and outside of Konya attracted great interest in the Son Durak region to meet a significant need for the construction of underground parking garage, he said.
Noting that the underground car park which will serve the region which is one of the rest areas of Konya will be composed of ground floor and 3 basement floor, President Akyürek emphasized that the total construction area of the parking lot 23 will be 28 vehicle capacity of 640 units of disabled parking lot.
President Akyürek, about 21 million pounds will cost the parking and cable car station building will be completed in 2018 said.
Akyurek noted that the station building will be built as the first step of the ropeway boarding line with the parking lot and added that the cable car line will be integrated with the parking lot.
