Train tension grows between Kosovo and Serbia

Train tensions are growing between Kosovo and Serbia: The crisis that starts with the train that tries to enter the territory of Kosovo without taking permission from Serbia's capital Belgrade is growing. Serbia has threatened to send troops to its neighbor Kosovo, which it considers as its territory.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, who accused Kosovo of provoking war, said he could send his armed forces to Kosovo if necessary to protect Serbs in Kosovo. "If the Serbian population faces a threat in Kosovo, Serbia will not hesitate to send its armed forces to Kosovo," Nikolic said.

Serbia had started train services without permission from Kosovo. On the other hand, the train bearing the colors of the flag of Serbia had the inscription "Kosovo is Serbia" in 21 languages. Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said last Saturday, saying that the train coming from Serbia with nationalist posters is unacceptable, "Kosovo respects freedom of movement, but a train entry contrary to the Kosovo constitution is unacceptable."
