The third funicular line comes to Istanbul

The third funicular line is coming to Istanbul: The third funicular line is coming to Istanbul. The line that will serve between Rumeli Fortress and Aşiyan is planned to be completed in 2019. The line, which can carry 6 thousand passengers per hour, will be integrated into the Yenikapı-Hacıosman subway from Boğaziçi University stop.

There will be 815 stops on the 2 meters long line. It will extend from Aşiyan stop to Boğaziçi University on the coastline of Sarıyer. 2 vehicles will work on the line. Each vehicle will have a capacity of 200 people. 6 thousand passengers can be carried in two directions per hour. The line will be built with a 13 percent slope from the slope of the mountain to the coastline.
