Providing public transportation services with 132 buses, 79 in the city center and 211 in the districts, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality continues to renew and strengthen its vehicle fleet by purchasing 10 new natural gas buses. The Metropolitan Municipality offered the 10 natural gas buses it purchased to the public with a promotional ceremony. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cumali Atilla, Secretary General, Deputy Generals and citizens attended the publicity ceremony held at the Metropolitan Municipality Bus Operation Terminal. Providing technical information about the buses, Rıfat Ural, Head of the Transportation Department, said that the municipality has 211 buses in the center and districts and that these buses serve everywhere in the city. Noting that they have strengthened the public transportation system by purchasing 10 natural gas buses in order to provide safer and more comfortable public transportation service to the public, Ural stated that they prefer buses that the disabled and strollers can easily ride.
'Diyarbakir people deserve the most beautiful'
At the ceremony, the bus manufacturer company representative gave President Cumali Atilla a representative key plaque. In his speech at the ceremony, Chairman Atilla said, alma I was delighted to be present at the ceremony for the delivery of the buses to Diyarbakır residents. Our citizens of Diyarbakır deserve the most beautiful of all things, first of all I hope that our buses will be beneficial to Diyarbakir people. After the conversation, the participants of the ceremony were praying, and the newly bought and decorated 10 bus took a city tour.
Flights start tomorrow
Total 90 passenger buses will be used in urban transportation. Buses with a disabled ramp will start tomorrow.
