The residents of Gölbaşı-Adıyaman-Kahta who want to pass the high-speed train line between Tut district, said that the only hope for the development of the district is the high-speed train.
Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan attended the opening ceremony in Adıyaman, and the good news he gave to Adıyaman people had great joy. Following the statements of the Minister, after the announcement of the study-project tender of the Grand National Assembly Deputy President Ahmet Aydın, the people of Tut district were excited as much as the people of Gölbaşı, Adıyaman and Kahta.
Mayor of Tut district on the Gölbaşı-Adıyaman route, Cemal Avcı suggested that the passing of the high-speed train from Tut district would cost less to the state.
Mayor Cemal Avci said that Tut County was not conducive to development in a geography that was trapped between two mountains and without sufficient agricultural land.
Expressing that high speed train is an opportunity for the development of Tut District, Cemal Avcı said, “The good news of the high speed train given by Ahmet Arslan, our Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, excited us. We want this excitement to turn into joy. We demand that the high-speed train line which will be operated between Gölbaşı-Adıyaman-Kahta pass through our district. We want this demand not only for our district, but also for our state. If the high-speed train line passes from our district, the distance will be shortened by 20 kilometers. This means that the cost is reduced by 20 percent. In addition, if a line is taken parallel to the Gölbaşı-Tahta highway route, the cost will be high and it will be a pity for the agricultural lands. Expropriation cost will increase at least 2-3 times. On the other hand, 60 percent of the lands in our Tut district consist of treasury land. The fact that the agricultural land is almost negligible in Tut district is another advantage. We ask all the officials of our state, the politicians, not to ignore our request. If they evaluate Tut District in the study project, it will please us. ”
