The 88-kilometer-first stage of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan Railway Line was opened at the Imamnazar Border Gate, with a ceremony hosted by Berdimuhamedov.

Berdimuhamedov, in his speech at the ceremony, emphasizing that the transport sector is a priority for sustainable development, the developing and changing world economy and regional economic integration process considering the transportation system should grow rapidly stated.

Berdimuhamedov pointed out that the main objective of transport policies is to evaluate the advantageous geographical position of the country and that they are happy to put into service the first phase of the corridor which will facilitate their integration into the global economic system.
