He stated that they made a promise to complete Samsun-Çarşamba Airport in 45 days.
Samsun Trade and Industry Chamber (STSO) President Salih Zeki Murzioğl of Turkey Chambers and Stock Exchanges Union (TOBB) and the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers Federation (FGCCC) by Bahrain's capital of Manama 'EE Gulf Cooperation Council 2. Business and Investment Forum met with the Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci. Mayor Murzioğlu consulted with the Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci regarding the closure of the airport, which is on the agenda of Samsun, for three months due to maintenance. Speaking to the Minister Tüfenkci about the importance of Samsun-Çarşamba Airport to the city and the region, Mayor Murzioğlu mentioned that the three-month shut-off of the airport would hit the city's trade and economy.
In his meeting, Mayor Murzioğlu stated that Samsun-Çarşamba Airport is one of the biggest airports in the region with approximately two million passengers per year. Any unwanted situation that may be experienced here will be reflected negatively to our city. We are aware of this. Our priority is, of course, the security of life and property, but the closure of the airport to flights for three months means that our city's trade and economy are hit. We receive many complaints, whether from our businessmen or the public from our city. Our request is that the maintenance work to be done will be completed in the minimum time and the airport is opened for use immediately. ”
Minister Tüfenkci, followed by telephone conversation with relevant places, especially the Minister of Youth and Sports Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and made a situation assessment. As a result of the negotiations he made, Minister Tüfenkci promised President Murzioğlu that he would be ready for flights again 45 days after the maintenance works of Samsun-Çarşamba Airport.
