Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan said that a high-speed train will come to Samsun. Minister Arslan said, “We divided the Samsun-Ankara high-speed train line into 3 parts. We started to prepare the projects of 2 parts. We are making the tender for the project between Samsun-Merzifon next week. Thus, as soon as the 3-piece project is completed, we will have implemented the Samsun-Çorum-Ankara high-speed train project. Therefore, we will make Samsun and Samsun people able to travel in high speed train standard. We do this not only for Samsun residents, we do it for every part of our country. Just as the people of Samsun need to go inside our country, our other people should also come to see a brand city like Samsun. Therefore, we are taking such a step in high speed train. However, we are not satisfied with this. After this project comes to Samsun, it will become Samsun center of attraction in the railway sector. Considering the seaway connection and the proximity of the countries around the Black Sea, we will make a new high-speed train station in the center of Samsun and its connection to Gelemen, its connection to the Logistics Village, and the following railway projects simultaneously. We will take such a road on railways, ”he said.
