Makkah Madinah High Speed ​​Train Project: Saudi Arabian Transport Minister Jabara Al Seraisry said that an agreement with international standards was signed with the Spanish consortium, which won the tender for the construction and operation of the high-speed train line between the cities of Mecca and Medina.

The consortium, consisting of 12 Spanish companies and 2 Saudi companies, will reduce the 6-kilometer Mecca-Medina road to 736 hours by high-speed train within the scope of the tender it has won with 450 billion 2,5 million euros. From the line connecting Mecca and Medina, it is envisaged that 160 passengers will be transported daily during periods of increased religious activity.

The Spaniards, who will build the high-speed train line on the Mecca-Medina line, will supply 300 high-speed trains running at a speed of 35 per hour.
