Eminönü-Alibeyköy Cep Otogarı tram line will be extended to Küçükköy Square: The transportation projects in Gaziosmanpaşa were discussed and evaluated together with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. At the meeting, it was decided to extend the Eminönü-Alibeyköy Cep Otogarı tram line to Küçükköy Square.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Muzaffer Hacimustafaoglu and the Department of Transportation attended the consultation meeting organized by Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality.
In addition to the ongoing Mecidiyeköy-Gaziosmanpaşa-Mahmutbey metro project, the conversion of the Vezneciler-Gaziosmanpaşa-Sultangazi tram line with 4 stops in Gaziosmanpaşa into a metro and Kazlıçeşme-Gaziosmanpaşa-Kağıthane-4. Levent- Kadıköy Studies on the metro project were also discussed. In addition, opinions were exchanged on new projects at the meeting, where the studies on important transportation axes of the district were evaluated. One of the most striking projects at the meeting was the decision to start the Eminönü - Alibeyköy tram line project as soon as possible.
Traffic at the meeting in front of the Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital was also brought to the agenda and a study on this issue said. In the meeting, it was stated that the rail system projects that will be made by taking advantage of the central location of Istanbul will bring Gaziosmanpaşa to a more central position by new alternative means.
