Iranian train accident 44 dead: two passenger trains in Iran headed to Haft-Khan Station in the town of Shahrud, about 400 miles east of Tehran. The fire broke out as a result of the collision. Authorities in the incident so far 44 people lost their lives, 103 people were wounded and announced.
The trains were said to be the trains of the colliding passenger trains Tabriz - Mashad and Semnan - Mashhad.
Immediately after the incident, aid teams and ambulances and helicopters were shipped to the area.
