Rejection from Bursa Metropolitan Municipality to the request for free transportation on October 29: Finally, the Metropolitan Municipality, which made public transportation free of charge during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Bursa, rejected the request for free transportation on October 29 Republic Day.

While the citizens of Bursa reacted to the rejection of the request on social media, Nilüfer Mayor Mustafa Bozbey criticized the decision of Büyükşehir.
Bozbey, said in a statement:
“We received a sorry RED response from Bursa Metropolitan Municipality to our request that transportation (bus, minibus, Bursaray, tram) should be free of charge on our Republic Day, which is our biggest holiday.
We needed to share this RED response with the public.
Because, as it is known in the public opinion, the Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa, which offers free transportation in many issues and times, could not give any meaning to our request for free transportation in our nation's biggest holiday.
I believe that Bursa Metropolitan Municipality will give up this negative decision and make transportation free of charge on the REPUBLIC DAY, which is our biggest holiday that we will celebrate the 93rd anniversary with enthusiasm… "
