EU 18 Age Gift Free Train Ticket: The Guardian reported that the European Union plans to offer a valid train ticket to Schengen region as a birthday gift to citizens of the age of 18.
It is stated that many European parliamentarians support the initiative with the idea that it will strengthen the sense of unity within the EU.
Interrail tickets for unlimited use of trains in the Schengen area are available at 479 euro per month.
The implementation of the bill could cost the EU around 3 billion euros.
