URAYSIM construction started

Construction of URAYSİM started: Anadolu University Rector Prof. Dr. Gündoğan said, "We will complete our facility at the beginning of 2019 by taking care of all our infrastructure and test equipment by the end of 2020".
The construction of the National Rail Systems Research and Test Center (URAYSİM), which is carried out by Anadolu University (AU) and planned to be implemented in the Alpu district of Eskişehir within the scope of the "Rail Systems Center of Excellence Project", has started.
AU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan told reporters that URAYSİM is a Ministry of Development project carried out by AU and that the foundations of the project were laid in Alpu district.
Expressing that they are planning the URAYSİM campus on an area of ​​700 decares allocated to AU by Alpu Municipality, Gündoğan said:
“The budget of the project has been increased to 400 million lira. We foresee that the said amount will increase in the later stages of the project. We are currently in a construction site consisting of 5 blocks with education, social facilities and administrative buildings. The treacherous coup attempt on July 15 coincided with the groundbreaking ceremony of our project. That's why we couldn't make it known. We will hold an official groundbreaking ceremony in October. Its construction will be completed in 2 years. In this process, we will have 2 big tenders. We will realize these in 2016. The tender phase of the test roads project is also complete. We will be bidding in the next 3 months. We will have 21 test equipment tender. There is a process involved in its design and manufacture. We are planning this tender in 2016. The production of test devices will be finished within 3 years. We will complete our facility at the beginning of 2019 by taking care of all our infrastructure and test equipment by the end of 2020. This will also be a research center on rail systems. "
