TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. General Manager Kurtdan Kardemir Visit: TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. General Manager Veysi Kurt visited Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR).
In a written statement from KARDEMİR, it was stated that Kurt received information from the General Manager Uğur Yılmaz about the logistics activities for the railway transportation, especially the railway wheel factory in KARDEMİR.
In the statement, which Kurt stated that he attended the project meeting between the factory and the German company Schuler SMG GmbH and that he organized a trip to the coke factories, blast furnaces, steelworks, rail profiles and rod coil rolling mills, It was reported that he was making investigations in coal and ore logistics.

“We had the opportunity to examine the investments in KARDEMİR on-site, which we see as a strategic partner of our company and one of its most important stakeholders. KARDEMİR is our most important stakeholder in railway transportation. Our company is also in the same position for KARDEMİR. During today's visit, we thoroughly discussed how we can improve this collaboration. We exchanged ideas about meeting the increasing logistics needs of KARDEMİR together with its increasing production capacity. Increasing the share of railway transportation in the sector has been adopted as a state policy and in recent years, our country has made significant investments in the railway transportation sector with huge projects. In this context, our investments and activities continue to increase the volume of cargo carried. These investments will continue to increase in line with the 2023 targets. Our industrial organizations such as KARDEMİR are undoubtedly the ones that will benefit most from these investments. ”
In the statement, it was stated that Mehmet Altınsoy, the Head of Transport Logistics Department, was present and Uğur Yılmaz, the General Manager of KARDEMİR, presented the first Turkish Iron mattress to Kurt and Kurt presented a model of the high speed train set to Yılmaz.
