Founding Rector of Beykoz University Dr. Had Mehmet Durman: Turkey Beykoz Logistics Research and Education Foundation by the University implemented in Istanbul, No. 7 September 2016 29824 was founded and published in Official Gazette dated. After the foundation of the University, the Board of Trustees of Beykoz University, which was held on 19 September 2016, Prof.Dr. Dr. Mehmet Durman has decided to be appointed as the Founding Rector.

Founding Rector of Beykoz University Dr. Mehmet Durman was born in Mustafa Kemalpaşa, Bursa. In 1961, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, Department of Metallurgical Engineering. He received his PhD from Aston University in 1982. He became associate professor at 1989 and professor in 1993. Between the years of 1998-2002, he was the rector of Sakarya University and 2010-2015.
The first students will be taken in 2017-2018 academic year Within the structure of Beykoz University, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Arts and Design, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, School of Foreign Languages, School of Civil Aviation, Vocational School, Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics and a Graduate School of Graduate Studies offering graduate and doctoral programs.
