Statement Regarding Atatürk's House Destroyed by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality: Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor and Speaker Turan Çakır responded to the statements of CHP Samsun deputy Hayati Tekin regarding the demolition of Atatürk House.
Turan Çakır, Deputy Mayor of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, made a statement about the demolition of Atatürk House located in Kirazlık district of Tekkeköy district.
Turan Çakır stated that they will build a new one of the destroyed Atatürk House in Bayrak Tepe and asked that no one should worry about this. “The new of the destroyed Atatürk House will be built in Bayrak Tepe, more magnificent and in accordance with its original. Nobody should worry about this. The existing Atatürk House was demolished out of urgency and obligation due to the fact that the tenders for the construction of the side roads of the Highways in that region were made. However, we will build the new Atatürk House in Bayrak Tepe. As I said, the reason for the demolition of the Atatürk House before the new one was built was due to the side road works of the highways in that region. The new Atatürk House to be built will not look like the old one. The public should be comfortable about this. "
