Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Council discussed the tram, one of the projects that will contribute to the transportation problem of the city, in the August council sessions. The assembly will find 100 million lira for the tram project to be implemented. It is stated that the transportation problem will be solved to a great extent with the project.
The city council will implement the 'Tramway Project'. 100 million funds will be allocated for the tram project. It was learned that the route of the tram was determined between Abide - Balıklıgöl - Piazza. Afterwards, it is stated that new projects will be started between Karaköprü, Eyyübiye State Hospital and Osmanbey Campus.
