The transportation record was broken on the historic rally day in Istanbul: On the historic rally day on 7 August, the metro carried 2 million 870 thousand people, on the busiest days this figure was 1 million 800 thousand. Citizens were also moved to the meeting in Yenikapı by sea transportation. On that day, 215 voyages were made, with 10 marine engines and 425 ferries. During these trips, an average of 500 thousand people were able to reach Yenikapı. When the rally area was full, many ships and engines were not allowed to dock.
