It was stated that 3 kilometers of the 116 kilometers long highway built in the 13,5rd Bosphorus Bridge and Northern Marmara Motorway Project is passed over viaducts. All 85 viaducts in the project, some of which reach 64 meters in height, were completed last month.

RECORDMEN BRIDGE

The height of the tower in Garipçe on the European side is 322, and the height of the tower in Poyrazköy on the Anatolian side is 318 meters. Approximately 230 thousand cubic meters of concrete, 50 thousand tons of rebar, 57 thousand tons of structural steel and 28 thousand tons of steel cable were used in the project. Approximately 8 million cubic meters of asphalt were poured onto bridges and highways.

258 KILOMETRICAL NEW HIGHWAYS WILL BE OPEN IN THE END OF 2018

Atatürk Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport and the new 3rd Airport will be connected to each other with the rail system to be integrated with Marmaray and Istanbul Metro in the project. In the continuation of the project, there are Kurtköy-Akyazı highways of 165 kilometers and Kınalı Odayeri highways of 88 kilometers. It is expected to be completed and added to the system by the end of 257, when work continues on the 2018-kilometer highways.

DAY 135 THOUSAND VEHICLES

The first bridge and the Northern Marmara Motorway will be operated by IC İçtaş – Astaldi JV for a period of 10 years, 2 months and 20 days. At the end of this period, it will be handed over to the Ministry of Transport. When the construction of the third bridge and highway is completed, there is a Treasury guarantee for 3 thousand automobile passages every day.
