Minister Arslan said that the "3-Storey Grand Istanbul Tunnel", which is the third largest project in Istanbul after Marmaray and Eurasia tunnel, is continuing rapidly.
3 FIRM ENOUGH
Reminding that the evaluation of the technical offers has been completed, Arslan said, “The studies are carried out meticulously by our General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments. On 26 July 2016, 3 technically qualified bidders were invited to open their financial offers on 10 August 2016. If there is no objection, financial offers will be opened. Afterwards, the company that will complete the commission evaluations and get the highest score in terms of technical and financial terms will win the tender. The winning company will be invited to sign a contract to prepare the project's offshore drilling, map purchases, route projects and build-operate-transfer tender files. The tender will be held after the approval of the High Planning Council (YPK) ”.
BE A FIRST IN THE WORLD
Stating that the two sides of the Bosphorus will once again be connected to each other with a 3-storey tube tunnel in the world for the first time, Arslan said that no one can prevent them from realizing giant projects from now on, as they have done so far. Minister Arslan said: “Since it is a project that will provide significant time and fuel savings to our people, it will not have any negative impact on the environment. Since it will be realized with the BOT model, public resources will not be used, and it will provide a significant amount of employment during the construction and operation phases. " Explaining that the project includes both highway and railway lines, Arslan said that the rail system will be integrated with 9 different rail system connections that are currently available and planned to be built.
6.5 MILLION PASSENGER WILL benefit
Minister Arslan stated that the tunnel will be integrated with 9 metro lines, TEM Highway, E-5 Highway and Northern Marmara Motorway, “With the commissioning of the project, from Incirli on the European Side to Söğütlüçeşme on the Anatolian Side, 31 kilometers in length 14 It will be reached in about 40 minutes by a fast metro consisting of a station. From Hasdal Junction to Çamlık Junction on the Anatolian Side, a 14.5 km highway will be reached in about 14 minutes. 6.5 million passengers per day will benefit from the line. "It will provide Istanbulites with the opportunity to plan their time while traveling from one continent to another, as it is the backbone of both road and rail systems."
