Military Vehicle and Ammunition Loaded Train Waits for 10 Days at Bilecik Station: On the night of the coup attempt, the freight train with military vehicles and ammunition stopped at Bilecik Station has been waiting at the station for 10 days.
The freight train, set out from Ankara on 28 July from the Ankara Mamak 1th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command, to take military vehicles and ammunition to the 15st Army Command in Istanbul, on 16 July, the night of the coup attempt, was stopped by police teams. It was learned that there were no military officials other than the machinist in the 16-car freight train with 20 armored vehicles, 30 military vans, tracked vehicles and ammunition. He was released after the statement of the mechanic, who was detained on July 16. The investigation initiated by the prosecutor's office regarding the cargo train with the military vehicles and ammunition held in Garda was reportedly ongoing.
