Metrobus harasser 6 years in prison: Ahmet Çapkın, who harassed a 26-year-old woman in Metrobus, was sentenced to 6 years.
Ç.D., 26, was harassed by Ahmet Çapkın, who was sitting next to him in the metrobus on 2 June 2016. The young woman could not even react out of fear. When a passenger who noticed the incident intervened, Ç.D. told the passengers that he was harassed.
IMMEDIATELY
The harasser, beaten by the passengers, was delivered to the polie at Zincirlikuyu stop. 37-year-old Ahmet Çapkın, who worked as a specialist at TÜBİTAK, was arrested by the court the next day.

The Metrobus harasser appeared in court on June 28. The judge did not make even the slightest reduction and sentenced Ahmet Çapkın to 6 years in prison.

Ç.D.'s lawyer said, “This decision will be a deterrent for harassment cases. It will also encourage women to speak out about the abuse they have suffered. " he spoke.
