Selim Koçbay Examined the Works in Savaştepe - Soğucak Tunnel on Site

Selim Koçbay Examines the Works in On-Site Tunnel in Savastepe: Izmir Balikesir line was closed to transportation due to a dent in the Izmir Balikesir line at the beginning of March 2016. Selim Koçbay, the 3rd Regional Manager of TCDD İzmir, went to the tunnel twice and examined the work on site.

In order to eliminate the collapse and rehabilitation of the tunnel, a rehabilitation project was carried out jointly with Hacettepe University and Dokuz Eylül University, and studies were started on 13.06.2016.
Although 100 has been planned for the breeding works, it is announced that the tunnel will be opened for 3 months after the ongoing works in two different points in 2,5 shifts.
Within the scope of the works, 368 m drilling, 8672 m blon and 22500 tons of cement injection are made along the 1200 m tunnel.
