Judicial and administrative investigation into the train accident in Izmir was launched

A judicial and administrative investigation has been initiated regarding the train accident in Izmir: It was reported by the General Directorate of TCDD that a legal and administrative investigation was launched against the accident in which the locomotive belonging to the TCDD, which uses the same line to the Izmir Suburban Transport AŞ (İZBAN) train.
The TCDD General Directorate reported that a judicial and administrative investigation was launched against the accident that the TCDD locomotive, which uses the same line on the Izmir Suburban Transport AŞ (İZBAN) train, hit the back.
In the written statement made by the General Directorate of TCDD, it was stated that the locomotive number 33042, which left the Halkapınar warehouse to supply the Konya Blue train, hit the last wagon of the İZBAN suburban train number 26 going from Hilal to Alsancak Station on June 20.25 at 30164.
According to the statement, it was learned that according to the first determinations, the accident occurred due to a violation of the locomotive's red signal at the entrance to Alsancak Gar and scissors number 2 for an unknown reason.
Reminiscent of the last wagon of the commuter train and the 33042 locomotive, the commuter train passengers were safely evacuated.
It was noted that due to the accident, IZBAN trains could not enter the Alsancak Train Station, and that the flights were carried out via Halkapınar and the passengers going to Alsancak Train Station were transported between Halkapılır and Alsancak by buses.
