Beijing crashes, subway lines in danger

Beijing collapses, subway lines are in danger: In the capital of China, Beijing, it is stated that there is a collapse of 11 centimeters every year due to the immense removal of groundwater to the earth.
The Guardian's results are based on research published in the journal “Remote Sensing”, and Beijing's surface, whose soil movements are measured using the InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) technique, experiences a 11-centimeter collapse per year.
The researchers warned that the continuation of the collapse at the same speed, especially in the central regions where the workplaces are dense, will affect Beijing in many ways, especially the rail system.
It was stated that the crash observed in Beijing was more prominent in the Chaoyang region, where skyscraper, infrastructure and road works have been developing rapidly since 1990.
It is noted that there are tens of thousands of wells used for agriculture and landscaping around Beijing.
