The Ministry handed over the Mudanya Pier to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality: The Mudanya pier, which has been used in Bursa since 1955, has been transferred to the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.

In Mudanya District of Bursa, the usage right of the pier operated by the municipality was transferred to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication. Authorities stated that the transfer was legal, while Mudanya Mayor Hayri Türkyılmaz announced that he would take the matter to the judiciary.

The 'Customs and loading evacuation pier', which was built in Mudanya in 1955 and whose usage rights were temporarily allocated to Mudanya Municipality, was taken by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and transferred to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. Mudanya CHP Mayor Hayri Türkyılmaz said they would take the matter to the judiciary. Stating that the berth was allocated to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality with the decision of the Council of Ministers in December 2015, Türkyılmaz said:

“We filed a lawsuit because we were against this decision. While processing the legal process, the document received by mail at 18:17.00 on the evening of May 20 stated that the pier would be handed over to the Metropolitan Municipality on May 10.30 at XNUMX. We asked for time to dismantle the fixtures on the pier. But we couldn't get it. It is not correct to carry out such a transfer while the legal process is being processed. ”

USED ​​THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE MINISTRY

The authorities, who stated that the transfer of the pier was taken from the Municipality of Mudanya and given to the Metropolitan Municipality, was carried out by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. Metropolitan Municipalities have the right to use similar piers after the service area is extended. He gave the right to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality at the Ministry. ”
