The button was pressed for the Rail System Vehicles Test Center URAYSİM, which will be established in the Alpu district of Eskişehir. Anadolu University Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan gave the good news that the National Rail Systems Research and Test Center (URAYSİM) project was included in the 2016 Development Program published in the Official Gazette. Meeting with the press members in the city in the Academic Clubs meeting hall, Prof. Dr. Gündoğan stated that there is no longer any obstacle for URAYSİM and said that they are currently in the actual investment process.

Gündoğan said, “URAYSİM is a very important project for our university, city and country. In our previous investment program, the project town of URAYSİM was 166 million 500 thousand TL. In the last investment program, our budget was increased to 400 million TL. In other words, 2019 million lira investment allowance that we will spend until 400 has been allocated for this project ”. Signing that the foundations of the center can be laid this year, Prof. Dr. Gündoğan said, “All our tenders will be completed in 2016. We need to speak cautiously, but depending on the tender processes, our foundations have been laid and the buildings will start to rise. 21 test equipment will be purchased. Test devices will also be ordered. These are not immediately available devices. "The company that won the tender will give orders for these test devices, and it takes 2-3 years to arrive".

“Everything is just beginning,” said Rector Gündoğan, “We have come to this point as a result of great efforts, but the real difficulties start after that. Because this project is not really a unique project. There is no such test center in our nearby geography. I think this center will make a very serious contribution to Eskişehir. With this project, it will be registered that the center of the rail systems is Eskişehir. This project not only for rail vehicles produced in Turkey, the Middle East, the Balkans, where testing can be done if the rail vehicle in Europe. both to prevent the exit of foreign exchange from both Turkey and abroad will be provided to a foreign exchange inflows. The owner of the project is Anadolu University. We plan to complete this project, which has been waiting since 2011, in 2019. Our university will do this project alone. There is a lot of interest from abroad. The Czech Republic made a statement as a partnership proposal.
