3 new metro lines are coming to Gaziosmanpaşa: Metro projects in Istanbul continue at full speed. Gaziosmanpaşa will become an important junction point in transportation with the Vezneciler-Gaziosmanpaşa Rail System Line

Istanbul Gaziosmanpaşa increases its central role in its region with new metro lines. In addition to the Mecidiyeköy-Gaziosmanpaşa-Mahmutbey metro line project, which will be put into service in 2017, two new metro lines will pass through Gaziosmanpaşa after 2019.

Kazlıçeşme-Eyup-Kağıthane-4. Levent- Kadıköy Vezneciler-Gaziosmanpaşa-Sultangazi metro line projects will be launched with the metro line. Among these projects, the Vezneciler-Gaziosmanpaşa-Sultangazi metro line, which has 4 stops in the district, is expected to bring great relief in the transportation of the district.

The EIA process for the Vezneciler- Gaziosmanpaşa-Sultangazi Rail System Line project that will serve between Fatih, Eyüp, Gaziosmanpaşa and Sultangazi districts of Istanbul has started. The promotional file of the metro line project was approved by the Istanbul Governorship Environment and Urbanization Provincial Directorate. The project will be implemented by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Directorate of Studies and Projects, Infrastructure Projects Directorate.

The project cost of the Vezneciler- Gaziosmanpaşa metro line was calculated as 2 billion 200 million TL. This rail system line route will be connected to the four important regions of Istanbul, Fatih, Eyüp, Gaziosmanpaşa and Sultangazi districts. The route starts from the Vezneciler region in Fatih district, passes through Edirnekapı, stops by Eyüp and Rami and reaches Gaziosmanpaşa Square. This line then ends in the Mescid-i Selam region via Küçükköy and Yeni Mahalle stops.

INTEGRATED INTO METRO LINES

The project is connected to the Şişhane - Yenikapı metro line at the Vezneciler station, thereby integrating with Marmaray. The project will also integrate the Mecidiyeköy - Mahmutbey metro line, which is under construction in the Yenimahalle region, at the Yenimahalle station, the planned Kazlıçeşme-Söğütlüçeşme metro line at the Gaziosmanpaşa station, and the planned İncirli - Söğütlüçeşme metro line at the Ayvansaray station. Vezneciler -Gaziosmanpaşa metro line will have a very important place in the whole of the rail system network.

There will be a total of 17,32 stations and a storage area.
