Kocaeli North Public Transport Light Railway Line Project Feasibility reports are expected to be published at the end of the year for the tender approved by AYGM
General Directorate of Investments (AYGM) approved the feasibility reports of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department's Northern Public Transport Light Rail System Line project
The authorities we met at this stage were expected to approve the zoning plans. After the approval of the necessary approvals, it was stated that the negotiations could be carried out by AYGM. The announcement of the tender will be made at the end of the year.
The EIA report for the project has been prepared by the company Serra Çevre and an EIA decision is not required.
The project was signed on 4.442.000 April 25 with the joint project of Bogaziçi Project - Ove Arup, which won the tender for Engineering Consultancy Service for the preparation of Northern Public Transport Light Rail System (LRT) Line Preliminary Projects and Feasibility Studies.
The line, which is planned to be 33 km, will start from Atalar Location of Körfez District and follow the D-100 Highway route and reach Tütünçiftlik - Derince - İznit - Yahyakaptan - Köseköy and Cengiz Topel Airport.
The cross section width of the line, which is planned to be operated as double track, will be 8,7 km at the level and viaduct.
A total of 23 station locations were identified along the line route. The line starts underground in the direction of Atalar - Cengiz Topel, and will continue as a level after the Yahya Kaptan region from the factories.
