On April 5, 1857, the decision of the Rumeli Railway concession to the British Parliamentary Labro will not be extended.
April 5, 1858 The Ottoman Railway company from Izmir to Aydın was in cash trouble as its stocks were not paid on time. Construction of the company holidayed until November 1858
With the Law No. 5 of April 1925, 600, the “Havali-yi Sharkiye Railways Administration” was established in Erzurum. This Administration was established in order to operate the Erzurum-Kars line, which was taken over by the Parliament with Kars-Gyumri agreements. With the same law, "Construction and Operation General Directorate of Railways Construction" was established to operate other lines. Thus, railways started to be managed by 3 different organizations.
April 5, 1967 The first meeting of the Turkish Railways Union was held.
5 April 2005 Ankara Gar TÜLOMSAŞ General Directorate of locomotives was introduced.
5 April 2006 Polatlı-Duatepe Tunnel was opened in the first part of Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Project. Authorities, Polatlı-Neonatal Tunnel and high-speed train studies were examined.
