Student hand to Menderes Metro Station: In the workshop organized by Esenler Municipality and Istanbul Technical University, the students of the Faculty of Architecture made presentations of 6 projects with different concepts they prepared for the Menderes Metro Station.
The second of the workshops organized by the Esenler Municipality City Thinking Center and Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture, Esenler Municipality Dr. It was held at the Kadir Topbaş Culture and Art Center. Representatives of the relevant units of Esenler Municipality, Transportation Inc. officials, students and representatives of NGOs. ITU Faculty of Architecture faculty members Assoc. Dr. Emrah Acar and Assoc. In the workshop conducted by Hatice Ayataç, the project process was summarized first. Then, Faculty of Architecture students made presentations of 6 projects in different concepts they prepared for Menderes Metro Station.
In the projects focusing on the main issues of the location and importance of metro stations in urban transportation in Istanbul and the contributions of a holistic transportation network to the city, the meaning of the Esenler Menderes Metro Station and its immediate surroundings in the city, user expectations, "Being a Neighborhood" in the design as an effective public space within the neighborhood, " The main themes of "Youth Center", "Science Center", "Woman - Child" were discussed. Projects prepared by university students will be published as a book after the study is completed.
