Tram project in Kocaeli brought the museum from the garden

The tram project in Kocaeli took the museum out of the garden: Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has completed its work hastily within the scope of the tram project. Preparing the project quickly, the municipality forgot the ethnography museum and train wagons. Within the scope of the project, the museum garden will be demolished and the train wagons will be removed from the region.

A big mistake was made about the tram, whose project was completed some time ago and the construction work started. While preparing the project, train wagons and Izmit Ethnography Museum were forgotten in the area where the old 10 Number Restaurant located in the city center of Izmit. After the project was completed, the situation was noticed but it was too late. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality officials first contacted the officials of the Ethnography Museum in Izmit and made various offers to the garden. Izmit Ethnography Museum Directorate objected to the case.

APPROVED BY PROTECTION BOARD

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality officials, who entered into a protocol preparation, offered to transfer some of the regions around the museum to be used as a museum garden. It was learned that the negotiations between the parties were still ongoing, and the museum directorate officials reacted to the situation. Metropolitan Municipality managed to approve the tram project, the only damage to the museum was not the only damage. The former railway station, which is one of the symbols of Izmit, was also affected negatively by the project.

TRAIN WAGON WILL BE STAYED

After the transportation of the railway station, historical wagons were placed in front of the restored old railway station, and these wagons had served a restaurant called 10 Numara for a long time. After closing the restaurant, the wagons and restaurant building, which served as a children's workshop for a while, were abandoned by the authorities. Abandoned wagons also took their share from the tram project. Although the carriages that were among the symbols of Izmit were getting up to rot, it caused reactions.

DAILY DAMAGE
The works started in Yahya Kaptan within the scope of the tram project of the Metropolitan Municipality will also come to İzmit city center in the following days. Within the scope of the works, the museum garden will be demolished and the wagons in front of the old railway station will be removed. Due to project failure, Izmit's icons will be greatly damaged.
