The Foundations of URAYSİM Will Be Laid This Year: It has been reported that the construction of the National Rail Systems Research and Test Center (URAYSİM), which is carried out by Anadolu University (AU) and planned to be implemented within the scope of the Rail Systems Center of Excellence Project, will begin this year.

AU Prof. Dr. At the press conference he held at the university, Naci Gündoğan said that the URAYSİM project was also included in the 10 Development Program, which was published in the Official Gazette about 2016 days ago.

Prof. Dr. Prof.Dr. Dr. Gündoğan, said that the actual investment stage is entered from now on.

Professor Dr. Gundogan, the project will contribute to the economy of the country, he said:

“In the last investment program, 400 million TL was allocated for the project. A small limitation was imposed on the project. This was a center where we planned the tests of urban tram and rail system vehicles, conventional lines and high-speed trains. The Ministry of Development initially gave the green light for testing vehicles on conventional and urban lines. In the second phase of the project, high-speed train test road will be used. There will be 3 basic tenders. The first is about administrative buildings. The announcement of this tender will be published on April 22, and the tender will take place on May 25. The second major tender will be about test equipment. 21 test devices will be purchased. This will also be tendered this year. Our third tender will be about test roads. A total of 27 kilometers of test road will be built. Its tender will be held this year. In other words, all of our tenders will be held this year and our foundation will be laid. "

"The trains of European countries will also be tested"

Thanking those who contributed to the project, Prof. Dr. Gündoğan said, “This project is not really a unique project. There is no such test center in our nearby geography. European countries' trains can also be tested here. This will not only be a test center, but also act as an R&D center. " used the expressions.
