The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, chaired by the AK Party Izmir Deputy Binali Yıldırım, has allocated the largest budget for the high-speed train investments to the Izmir-Ankara line this year. About 2016 billion lira will be invested in high-speed and high-speed train projects in 2. 2 million TL of the mentioned 633 billion TL appropriation has been allocated to Izmir-Ankara High Speed ​​Train. This figure constituted the highest share in the budget.

633 MILLION EXCEEDED IN ANKARA-IZMIR LINE

The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications allocated the highest share for the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​Train (YTH) in the 2016 Investment Program. According to the investment program, 633 million lira is expected to be invested in the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​train line. Within the scope of the Investment Program, it is expected to invest a total of 5.3 billion lira in TCDD, this year 4 billion lira, and 9.3 billion lira in other rail projects to be carried out by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.

JOURNEY TIME 3.5 HOURS

With the project that connects İzmir, the third largest city of our country, and Manisa, Uşak and Afyonkarahisar on its route to Ankara, a very important railway corridor will be formed on the west-east axis. With the opening of the line, the construction work of which is expected to be put into service in 2017, the 14-hour travel time between Ankara and Izmir will decrease to 3 hours and 30 minutes. The total investment cost of the project is expected to exceed 4 billion liras. The tender for the Afyon-Uşak section, which is the second stage of the project, which will be completed in 2017, and the Uşak-Manisa-İzmir section, the third stage, will be held this year.
