Financial bid will be received for the 3-Storey Grand Istanbul Tunnel: Financial bids will be presented on May 3 for the survey, project and engineering services tender for the 3-Storey Grand Istanbul Tunnel Project.

Financial offers will be received within the scope of the survey, project and engineering services tender held last year as the first step in the 3-Storey Grand Istanbul Tunnel Project by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments.

FINANCIAL OFFERS WILL BE SUBMITTED ON MAY 3

For the tender in question, companies will submit their financial offers on May 3. Within the scope of the survey, project and engineering services, the cost of which is determined as 35 million TL and an allowance of 7 million 500 thousand TL has been allocated for this year, deep drilling works will be carried out on land and at sea, and ground data will be examined.

Engineering projects are aimed to be completed within 1 year after the tender process. In the 3-Storey Grand Istanbul Tunnel that will pass under the Bosphorus, there will be both road and rail in one tube. Tunnel will be built, a two-lane road suitable for the passage of vehicles with wheeled wheels at the top and bottom, as well as the railway in the middle and out.

İNCİRLİ FROM SÖĞÜTLÜÇEŞME'YE

One leg of the project, which will be the first in the world in terms of the size and scope of the tunnel, is the high-capacity and fast metro system starting from İncirli on the E-5 axis on the European Side and extending from the Bosphorus to Söğütlüçeşme on the Anatolian Side, and the second leg is the European Side. It will consist of a 2 × 2-lane highway system starting from Hasdal Junction on the TEM Highway axis and connecting to Çamlık Junction on the Anatolian side through the Bosphorus.

The tunnel will be integrated with 9 metro lines, TEM Highway, E-5 Highway and Northern Marmara Highway. It will be possible to reach Söğütlüçeşme on the Asian side from Incirli on the European side to Söğütlüçeşme on the Anatolian side in about 5 minutes by the fast metro, which will consist of 31 stations with a length of 14 kilometers.

On the European side, from Hasdal Junction to Çamlık Junction on the Anatolian Side, it will be reached in about 14 minutes by road. It is predicted that 6,5 million passengers per day will benefit from the line.
