Ski Training for Children in Samsun Children's Houses: Samsun Youth Services and Sports Provincial Directorate The children who were staying in the Children's Houses of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies were given ski training in Kayseri Erciyes Ski Center.
Minister of Youth and Sports Akif Çağatay Kılıç stated that they aim to increase the quality and diversity of the services offered to children and young people, and said, "We are working for the establishment of a healthy and active life in the society, spreading it to large masses and raising successful athletes."
Samsun Youth Services and Sports Provincial Directorate took 8 children between the ages of 17 and 20 who stayed in Children's Houses affiliated with the Ministry of Family and Social Policies to Kayseri Erciyes Ski Center. Children who received 2016 ski training under the supervision of physical training and ski trainers of 19 Mayıs Mountaineering Club within the scope of 4 activities, learned skiing, snow plow stance and turns, slalom and simple turns, basic parallel sliding and parallel sliding technique in the first 2 days. On the 3rd day and 4th day, all children managed to ski on their own. The second stage of mountain skiing training will be held in Kastamonu Ilgaz Mountain in December 2.
