Wehrhahn Tramway Tunnel Opened in Düsseldorf, Germany

Wehrhahn Tram Tunnel Opened in Düsseldorf, Germany: The Wehrhahn tram tunnel built in Düsseldorf, Germany was opened on February 20 with the participation of Düsseldorf Mayor Thomas Geisel. It was stated that the line will be put into service the next day.
The 3,4 km-long line connects Bilk in the south and Wehrhahn in the northeast. There are even 6 stations and some stations are also available. The line is expected to be used by 50000 passengers within one day.
The cost of the line started in November of 2008 was 843 million Euros. The German Government also contributed 280 million euros to the construction of the line.
