Saka evaluated İZBAN's Bergama project: Adnan Saka, Chairman of the Board of Aliağa Chamber of Commerce, evaluated the Bergama project of İZBAN at the meeting held in Aliağa District of İZMİR.
Addressing the railway project planned to pass through Aliağa, Aliağa Chamber of Commerce Chairman Adnan Saka reminded the project of extending the Torbalı-Aliağa İZBAN line to Bergama. Expressing that the freight train and high speed train will pass through the middle of the district according to the current project of TCDD, Saka said, “If the project is realized, we will divide the train route Aliağa into two and as a result, we will encounter many problems. In Aliağa, the development takes place towards Güzelhisar. At this point, parallel to the developments, it is necessary to act by considering the population growth, industrialization and housing. In this context, if the Bergama railway project is realized, our district will be divided into two completely and our crossing will be difficult. Considering that the population of the city will increase rapidly in the near future with giant investments, the district, which has a population of 17 thousand people in the last five years, will prevent Aliağa from developing. I think the authorities should act together in this project, which will determine the future of the district, by taking the opinions of local elements. For this reason, I think that the old project passing through the upper part of the city center will be more useful to the district.
