External Depression in the Rail Sector

In the Railway Sector, Foreign Dependency Declines: The history of the railway has an annual history in our country 160. The industry's most powerful name of the Republic of Turkey State Railways in Turkey since 1924yi demiryollarıyla birbirine bağlıyor.
from Chinae kesintisiz demiryolu koridorunun önemli bir bölümüdür.
also moved 114 million passengers to date. Marmaray, which is integrated with the other transportation network, will serve 1.5 million passengers per day. In addition, the existing infrastructure and vehicle fleet are being modernized. In 2015; 5 million 700 thousand, 59 million 19 million and 634 thousand 95 thousand 834 thousand passengers, including 86 XYUMX with YHT, were moved. 2015 million passengers moved in İZBAN, operated by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. 26 was XNUMX million tons in the year. As the investments are realized, the efficiency and efficiency of the train in the transportation system is increasing.
Turkey is looking for ways to completely nationalized the railways and rail systems. What are the steps taken in the creation of the national railway industry? Do you find the companies that provide services to the sector enough?
Significant steps are being taken to reduce the dependence of the railway sector on the outside and to develop the forward rail industry in cooperation with the domestic and foreign private sector. Kardemir ray started production. Kardemir produces 72 meters for YHT and exports rail to the Middle East countries. Local trains are produced in Adapazarı. all kinds of electric train sets without technology in Turkey in Adapazari and light rail vehicles with high-speed train sets and Hyundai Rotem for production of high-speed railway passenger coaches (South Korea) and EUROTEM with TCDD partnership firm was established. The factory, which became operational in April 2008, produced the metro cars used in Marmaray. Now it produces rail sets for İZBAN.
Domestic scissors are produced in Çankırı. VADEMSAŞ, which is a partner of Voestalpine, Kardemir and TCDD, was established in Çankırı for the production of all kinds of conventional and high speed shears not produced in our country. The plant, which started operation in August 2011, is targeting a market worth $ 150 million in ten years. In Sivas, the local fast train sleeper started. In order to produce high capacity sleepers in Sivas, SİTAŞ was established with the participation of TCDD and Turkish and Italian partnerships. He established a rail fasteners factory in Erzincan by VOSSLOH / Germany. It meets domestic needs and exports to many countries. In cooperation with the Machinery Chemical Industry Corporation, work is underway to produce railway wheels.
With the investments of private sector, Sakarya, Konya, Ankara and Afyon etc. 10 fast train sleeper factory is established and continue production. Eskisehir was the locomotive manufacturing base. In Eskişehir, TÜLOMSAŞ produces electric locomotives in cooperation with American General Electric diesel locomotive and Hyundai Rotem in South Korea. In addition to the modernization projects we initiated in passenger and freight transportation, our localization and nationalization efforts are also continuing. In this context; The first National Electric Locomotive E1000, TÜLOMSAŞ has been successfully produced and last year was lowered to tracks. TCDD, TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and Turkey Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc. (The contractor) after completion of the project carried out in partnership with 4 years of hard work and reflects Turkey's accumulated technology and engineering achievement. On the other hand, in order to develop and strengthen our national railway industry, provisions stipulating that 51 would be produced locally were put into the specifications used in the procurement of railway vehicles and equipment.
The issue that is currently the most busy issue; National Train Project. Could you inform us about the stage of the project?
Together with the construction of modern railway lines in our country, the ile National Train Project lar was started to produce new generation railway vehicles in our country with unique design and domestic technology. A ile National Train Working Group “was created with four different working groups related to its original design and domestic production.
• High Speed Train Set,
• New Generation Diesel Train Set (DMU),
• New Generation Electric Train Set (EMU),
• New Generation Freight Wagons
In addition, the leading institutions of our country; TÜLOMSAŞ, TÜVASAŞ and TÜDEMSAŞ have all the opportunities and capabilities to take part in the works as project coordinator and to benefit from all the dynamics of our country during the works. As a project partner; ITU (Istanbul Technical University), TÜBİTAK, ASELSAN, Universities and ARUS (Anatolian Rail Transport Systems Cluster) and RSK (Eskişehir Rail Systems Cluster) were selected as the project stakeholders and it was decided to get support from other Public and Private Institutions.
In the ongoing process, business processes such as need assessment, planning, design, project planning, production, testing, approval, patent, after-sales services and maintenance were determined and how to manage them. It was aimed to produce the vehicles to be produced within the scope of the National Train Project with a minimum 51 localization rate and to increase this rate to% 85 as a result of localization studies. Concept Design theme for National High Speed Train, New Generation National EMU-DMU and New Generation National Freight Wagons were selected. Industrial-Engineering Design process is in progress.
TCDD, the most important sectors of the sound, how to evaluate Turkey's existing rail network and the 2023 target?
At present, the 1.213 km High Speed Train and 11.318 km conventional 12.531 km rail network is available. 12 11.318 km of 9.987 km in the last 2003 year by complete maintenance and renewal; train speeds, line capacity and capability have been increased, passenger and cargo transportation has become more comfortable, safe and fast. In 2.505, the signal line length of 4.578 km is 2.078 km; The electric line length of 3.748 km was increased to 4.810 km. The number of level crossing at the intersection of the railway and the highway, which pose a risk for train and road safety, has been reduced from 3.110 to 1.068. XNUMX of the existing level crossings was controlled.
100 of the Republic. In the year of 2023; We aim to become the country with the first ten economies and railway sector in the world. Within the scope of 2023 objectives; 3.500 km high-speed rail, 8.500 km high-speed rail and 1.000 km to 13.000 km rail by rail to reach the length of the 25.000 km is targeted.

Can we learn your expectations for 2016?
We are currently building a total of 3.057 kilometers of high speed, fast and conventional railway. The non-renewed conventional lines will be fully renovated this year. The signaling and electrification of conventional lines,
In order to ensure that the logistics centers planned to be built in our country and where the number of 7 is put into service, and to be carried from door to door through additional lines to be made to the railway lines, the construction of the connection lines for OIZs, production centers and port connections will be continued. Within the framework of 24.04.2013 date and 6461 numbered Law on Liberalization of Railway Sector; With the restructuring of TCDD, TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ's registration and capacity allocation works will be completed.
Finally, we want to underline or add what you want to add.
In 2013, a new era has started with the law on the liberalization of the railway. Secondary legislative works by the General Directorate of Railroad Regulation are continuing as per the related law. When all secondary legislation is published, the railway sector will actually be liberalized. TCDD is continuing its Network Reporting studies regarding the registration and capacity allocation of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. When the process is completed and the de facto liberalization is started, the private sector will be able to transport freight and passenger with its own staff and trains.
Also;
• More efficient use of the existing country resource in the railway area will be ensured and the idle capacity will be put into use,
• Harmonization with the monopoly and liberalization of the sector will be in line with EU railway legislation,
• Safety of rail services will be increased,
• Capacity utilization in railway lines will increase,
• The amount of freight transported by the competition will increase,
• Load and passenger transport performance will improve further,
• The rate of increase in road traffic congestion will decrease,
• Due to the environmental advantages of the railway, the negative effects of other types of transport on the environment and human health will be reduced.
On the other hand, in order to meet customer satisfaction and to make transportation in a safer and higher quality, TCDD, TCDD Transportation Inc., and private railway operators will provide positive contributions on the employment of the developing railway industry. We believe that Mustafa Kemal modern and prosperous Turkey 100 our imaginary Republic. 2023 will be held in the year. The biggest share in this will be the railways that Gazi Mustafa Kemal pointed out as a m sacred torch that illuminates a country with the lights of civilization and prosperity B.
