Light Rail System Networking in Nairobi, Kenya

Light Rail Network to Be Made in Nairobi, Kenya: The light rail network to be built in Nairobi, Kenya was announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta on February 19. According to the planning, a line will be built between Nairobi and Mombasa, which will be connected to the railway station currently in use. Other lines to be built will be connected to Thika Road, Ngong Road, Ongata Rongai and Limuru Road suburban lines. It is estimated that 300000 passengers will be transported daily.
The total cost of the lines will be 150 million dollars, which will be covered jointly with Hungary. The project, which is part of Hungary's policy to help develop African countries, is scheduled to begin next June.
