In Ilgaz, sleds competed for first place: The Traditional Sled Race was held today at the Ilgaz Doruk Ski Track. 62 individual Competitors from Kastamonu, Çankırı, Bursa, Kars, Erzurum, Erzincan, Ankara and Kütahya provinces competed in the event.
Turkey Located in the traditional sports branches Federation Presidency 2016 year program of activities, Ilgaz District and Traditional Sports of Turkey carried out with the support of the Federation was held in the traditional sled race Ilgaz Doruk ski slopes.
The event took place on the Ilgaz Doruk Ski Slope and the 62 individual competitor from the cities of Kastamonu, Çankırı, Bursa, Kars, Erzurum, Erzincan, Ankara and Kütahya fought.
For the competition, while the necessary health and safety measures were taken by the Ilgaz District Governorship, the contestants competed with each other at the event. The first, second and third rounds of the Sleigh Contests; quarter final, semi-final and final form, while the end of the contest, Aykut Aydinli first, Kadir Ataman second, Harun Sahin was the third.
Traditional Sports of Turkey Federation Vice President Günal Young, "This is our traditional sled competition, our program is located in the 2016 program of activities. These sleds are competitions that our ancestors have been going on for over 500 years. For the first time, we are organizing our traditional sled competitions in Çankırı Ilgaz Mountain, which was incorporated into the Federation. This competition was held with the participation of 62 athletes from eight different provinces. The program ended after the medals and plaques were given to the athletes.
