Forgotten Items in Ankara Metro Are Offered for Sale at Auction: Ego buses The items forgotten in the Metro and Ankaray were put up for sale at an auction organized under the coordination of the ego Bus Management Department and the Purchasing Department. The sale was very popular with the people of Ankara. While the clothes were predominant, many products ranging from the robes worn by lawyers to the disabled walking stick, from cameras to musical instruments, from TV to watches and glasses.
EGO buses, Metro and Ankaray'da forgotten belongings in the EGO Bus Directorate of the Department and the Department of Procurement was organized under the coordination of the auction. The sale was very popular by the people of Ankara. The sale of the goods, which were kept under protection and completed the one-year waiting period, was held in the refectory of the General Directorate of EGO.
The head of the Tender Commission, Muhsin Özdemir, said the following for the lost items offered to the public: "We are looking for the owners of the telephones and the items we can reach, but we are selling the ones whose owners do not come out in this way." Among the items, there were items such as pants, shirts, umbrellas, glasses, jackets, laptops, organ, guitar, tablet computer, mobile phone, shoes, bicycle, bag and digital camera. The auction organized under the coordination of EGO Bus Operations Department and Purchasing Department; The philanthropists, who stated that they wanted to help people in need, especially second-hand goods sellers, showed interest in many citizens, including families who wanted to buy gifts for their children. Among the items, while mobile phones and dressing were predominant, many products ranging from the robes worn by lawyers to the disabled walking stick, from cameras to musical instruments, from TV to watches and glasses.
THE HIGHEST INCOME WAS WITH 7500 TL
The auction, which was held in a highly contentious and exciting environment, generated 7 TL in revenue. Stating that they have reached the highest income among the auctions held so far, EGO officials noted that the gold found was also sold by a commission formed. Revenue from items sold through auctions is recorded as revenue to EGO General Directorate.
WAS HELD ON THE OWNERS WITH 1 YEAR
After being forgotten by passengers in EGO buses, subway and Ankaray, the drivers and dispatchers deliver the items with information on them to the Lost Property Service. The list of items whose owners cannot be reached is published on the website of the EGO General Directorate with the title 'www.ego.gov.tr' every month. The list of lost items is also announced on Police Radio. If the owners of the items cannot be reached within a year, they are sold by auction. Participating in the auction, Mehmet Çelik stated that he gave 50 TL to the bicycle he bought for his daughter, and the student named Muhammet Özdemir said that he bought his dream guitar for 106 TL. Expressing that he finds the guitar he bought very high quality, Özdemir noted that this will take his first step into music.
