Citizen wanted, added a pedestrian overpass to Torbalı line

Citizen asked for a pedestrian overpass added to the Torbalı line: İZBAN The final preparations for the opening day of the Torbalı line will be held on the 6 February Saturday, while the Metropolitan Municipality of Izmir adds a new one to the pedestrian overpasses on the line upon request from the citizens. The Metropolitan Municipality has completed the project of the pedestrian overpass to connect the Cumhuriyet District and Ertuğrul Neighborhood; construction tender.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which provides a modern and comfortable transportation service to the city with its investments in the rail system, counts the days for the opening ceremony of the Torbalı line 6 February Saturday, which is realized with the partnership of TCDD.
Having completed all the construction works on the 30 kilometer line, the Metropolitan Municipality built an 6 highway crossing and a pedestrian top for the uninterrupted access of pedestrians and vehicles on the line consisting of 8 stations.
Listening to demands from the local people on the new line, which will facilitate the transportation of Torbalı, Selçuk, Bayındır, Tire and Ödemiş in Izmir, the Metropolitan Municipality is now in a tender for a new overpass. Torbalı Cumhuriyet Mahallesi and Ertuğrul Neighborhood will provide uninterrupted pedestrian transportation and construction of the new overpass will be started in a short time.
30 walkway at 10
On the additional line which will take the Izmir suburb to the total 110 kilometers, the 6 station was built by Develi, Tekeli, Pancar, Kuşçuburun, Torbalı and Tepeköy by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. In order to provide uninterrupted access to vehicles on line, Tekeli, Pancar, Kuşçuburnu, Menderes Gölcükler, Torbalı center, Tepeköy and Develi highway overpasses and Cumaovası highway underpasses were constructed. For crossing of citizens, pedestrian crossing at Torbalı Ertuğrul Junction was opened. Together with the new pedestrian overpass, the number of gates on the additional line of 30 will reach 10.
