Wagon and Rails Damaged in the Explosion in Van were Repaired: The locomotive and rails damaged by the detonation of the handmade explosive previously placed on the train tracks on the Silk Road, one of the central districts of Van, were repaired. The houses around were also damaged during the explosion.
During the passage of the 19.30-car freight train, which left Kapıköy on the Iranian border at 30 in the İpekyolu Bostaniçi District, one of the central districts of Van, near the Governor Ali Cevdet Bey Primary School of the İpekyolu district, the hand-made explosive PKK was laid on the rails. It was detonated with a remote control by Turkish terrorists.
As a result of the explosion of the bomb, windows and headlights of the locomotive were broken, while there were no injuries or deaths. After the rails were damaged, the train was withdrawn to the Station Directorate. While the police launched an investigation into the explosion, the windows and headlights of the locomotive were renewed and the rails were repaired. Meanwhile, the owners of houses and businesses whose windows were broken tried to repair the damages with their own means.
Governor Ali Cevdet Bey Primary School students said they were very afraid of the sound of explosion. Explosion of the windows of the homes of children who are broken, said they went to school scared.
