Akdag to move with snowfall

Akdağ will move with snowfall: Akdağ, located in Samsun's Ladik District, awaits holidaymakers at the New Year's Eve.

Akdağ, located in the Ladik District of Samsun, awaits holidaymakers on New Year's Eve. It was stated that unlike many ski resorts, snowfall is expected on New Year's Eve in Akdağ, where snow is available and skiing is performed.

Akdağ Winter Sports and Ski Center, which is 7 kilometers away from Ladik and started operating in 2010, became a popular destination for holidaymakers and tourists coming from the city center and the surrounding provinces, especially at the weekend. Akdağ, which has a 33-room accommodation facility where mostly daily visitors come, has an altitude of 1800 meters, a chairlift of 1300 meters and a track of 1675 meters, welcomes approximately 40 thousand people in the winter season. Snowfall is expected this week in the region where snowfall is very rare, as it is all over the country this year. Amateur skiers enjoy the snow in Akdağ, which last fell on December 4 and kept ice with the effect of cold weather. Turkey's tummy in many parts of the ski vacationers in the region where they can ski on the contrary has been expressed in recent weeks. Suat Soydemir, the manager of Gümüşpark Resort Hotel in Akdağ, said:

“People cannot do much about natural events. We cannot predict what nature will bring. There is nothing we can do about it. But according to the information we received from meteorology officials, as of December 29, there will be heavy snowfall in Akdağ. This snow that will fall before the New Year will also make our people who will come to the region for skiing happy. Our guests can ski with the current snow. They can slide with small and large sleds. Only professional skiers cannot benefit from the track. The chairlift works. Even if our guests do not see 100% snow, they can ski. We are constantly meeting with meteorology officials. They state that there will be a serious rainfall as of December 29. This situation, the same problem exists in other ski resorts. Every region of Turkey did not see much snow this winter. "

Suat Soydemir stated that all the rooms are sold for the New Year and people will flock to the region for skiing because they are included in the weekend holiday on New Year's Eve and stated that Akdağ will be an important place for holidaymakers who love skiing and snow in the New Year's Eve.
