Minister Yıldırım gave a date for Keçiören Metro

Minister Yıldırım Dates for Keçiören Metro: Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, announced that they decided to put the Keçiören Metro into service in 2016. Minister Yıldırım said, “Today, this Sunday, I promise Ankara residents that Keçiören Subway is not on your agenda from now on”.
2016 will be served in the year

Yıldırım, who has been conducting examinations in the construction of Keçiören Metro which has been under construction for 12 years, received information from authorities and made statements to journalists at Atatürk Culture Center, Keçiören Metro Station.

Explaining that 99 percent of the metro was completed proportionally, Yıldırım defined the remaining part as "minor repairs and completion of missing works". "So what else do you need to open the line?" Yıldırım asks, “The signal system, electromechanical works, which are invisible to the eye but will enable subways to work in harmony with each other. Their work will start rapidly and 1 will begin next year, 2016 month later. We made the decision to put the line into service in 2016, ”he said.

"WE HAVE SOME BOTTOMS OF VEHICLES IN FRONT OF US"

Emphasizing that they are reviewing the business plan, Yıldırım said, “We have some bottlenecks regarding vehicles ahead. Despite the fact that the tenders of the signal and electromechanical works were made on time in the past, the legal process continued for a long time and the business was in a deadlock due to the contractor companies bringing the issue to the judiciary. We do not want the line to be delayed. We will put our B plan into action in this regard, and the necessary sacrifices and works will be carried out immediately, 7 hours a day, 24 days a week, Saturday and Sunday, and hopefully in 2016, we will put it into service in the third quarter at the latest. Our preference is to be able to put it into operation as early as possible in 2016. For this, it is really necessary to work with extraordinary effort ”.
COMMITMENT FROM MINISTER YILDIRIM TO THE PEOPLE OF KEÇİÖREN

Explaining that the future works of Keçiören Metro are not like construction works, Yıldırım said: “It is easy to do visible works but the signal is mechanization. When you start these, you cannot predict what will happen to you. Of course, taking all these into account, our friends will do the necessary work meticulously. We will also follow the work. We will develop the necessary solutions, measures to solve a problem they could not overcome. We will never and never allow a waste of time for even an hour. Today, this Sunday, I promise Ankara residents that the Keçiören Metro is no longer on your agenda. We will do all kinds of work and open here on the day we promise. You can be sure that we will do the same in the future as we have done what we have done in the promises we have made so far. "
"OUR GOAL IS TO TURN YOUR TRAVEL FROM PEACE TO PLEASURE"

Explaining that the aim is to make life easier for Ankara residents and to transform travel from pain to pleasure, Yıldırım said, “For this purpose, we have been in a feverish work together with our team. Good luck. From time to time, we will follow the progress with you. Again, we will continue to inform our Ankara citizens about the progress of the project. "I think we will start the test drives towards the end of next March," he said.
"I CONSIDER THE KEÇİÖREN METRO IMPORTANT FROM ALL"

Minister Yıldırım answered the question about Istanbul's tunnel project, the 3rd Airport and the 3rd Bridge as follows: “Friends, there are many projects. Therefore, I consider the Keçiören Metro more important than all of them today. We will make separate evaluations about them. It doesn't make much sense to say anything here for those big projects on the run. If you want, let's complete this job today with Keçiören Metro. On another day, we will have the opportunity to explain those projects extensively. "
