The Stockholm metro system offers more than just getting from one place to another within the city. The Metro is the longest art exhibition in the world, with a length of 110 kilometers. More than 90 to 100 metro stations in the Stockholm subway are decorated with sculptures, mosaics, paintings and installations made by over 150 artists. The Kungsträdgården underground station looks like an archaeological excavation site.
