Cooperation meeting between TCDD and Ethiopian Railways

A cooperation meeting was held between the TCDD and the Ethiopian Railways: A meeting was held at the General Directorate of TCDD on 21 December 2015 to improve the cooperation between Ethiopian Railways (ERC) and TCDD.

In the meeting, which started with a presentation introducing TCDD, Tunka Dadi, President of the Ethiopian delegation, made a statement on the activities, targets and cooperation of the Ethiopian Railways.

Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa and Djibouti are under construction and approximately 700 is in Ethiopia. In the 100 km, Dadi referred to the developments in the railway project in Djibouti and the contributions to be made to the country. The project was completed on the 90 level of the project;

Dadi emphasized the importance of cooperation with TCDD in Ethiopia for the development and modernization of infrastructure, great importance for the railway, lack of railway operation experience and weakness in terms of technology.

Ethiopia is a country with an unfavorable geographical structure; despite this position as it is in Turkey's Asia-Europe indicating where in a very strategic region between African countries Dadi said that this framework in the country to benefit from the advantages of the strategic position they want to take a sample of TCDD.

The President of Ethiopian delegation Tunka Dadi stated that ERC always wanted to cooperate with TCDD and that ERC staff participated in the trainings given by TCDD in Djibouti and the training was very beneficial and these trainings would continue.
