India 15 is taking a high-speed train to billion dollars

India is buying high-speed trains for $ 15 billion: India is buying high-speed trains from Japan within the framework of the renewal of the old railway system.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that it will reduce the eight-hour journey of the new train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to two hours. Last week, the Council of Ministers of India approved the 14,7 billion-dollar budget for the high-speed train system.

The deal was signed during a three-day visit by Indian Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to India. During talks in New Delhi, leaders of Asia's second and third-largest economies signed agreements to co-operate in other areas. Abe and Modi are also reported to have signed a memorandum of understanding on the peaceful use of nuclear energy. This agreement will allow Japan to export nuclear power plant technology to India.

Both countries are facing border problems with China. Some observers see the signed agreements as a step towards increasing China's influence in the region.
